Playlist Description:
As the ratings race between television networks grows fiercer, they inevitably air more and more vulgar movies. If the networks simply bleeped out all the objectionable language out there, they would have more computer sounds than dialogue in the movies that they air. Instead, the network editors attempt to match the foul language with phrases that sound somewhat similar, but usually fall flat and qualify them for our top 10 list of the worst movie edits for TV.
These movie edits for TV usually lead to hilarious and awkward statements like: "This is what happens when you meet a foreigner in the Alps," and "Yippee-ki-yay, Mr. Falcon," in place of popular catch phrases.

Scarface TV version

An amusing look on some of the profanities and violence that had to be changed from the TV version of Scarface. Apparently even "lesbian" was a bad word..

Pulp Fiction Edited for TV version
uploaded by rypro525 at youtube.com
This contains many of the goofier edits in the movie. Funniest edits are at the last minute with the 'i shot marvin in the face' scene cut right to the scene with Tarantino as Jimmy. Also notice that they miss muting Tarantino saying the N word. Also funny seeing some scenes completly muted. Notice at 00:36 that the lips move with no voice and no real edit. Some really bad pan and scan moments too, you really appreciate the widescreen framing when you notice how much you miss when its in full screen.
Weird Science: The TV Version
uploaded by watercooler at youtube.com
The TV print of Weird Science contains many audio edits to remove the raunchy language of the PG-13 original.
Apparently we cannot handle hearing words like "bang", "studs", "chains", or "freak" on regular TV.
Afterwards, I've included two scenes that only exist in the TV print.
