Mike Vallely through the years in "A Look Back" in 411 Videomag's Issue 32. The ending is a slo-mo of the insane ollie over the Brooklyn Banks wall after they added the fence to stop people from ollieing it. I've ollied that wall near the light pole before the fence was added on top and it was tough enough due to the speed you needed to get. Add in the gnarly bricks and it's tough to get a smooth pop. With the new fence, it's shoulder-level now and I can't even imagine trying it or even where to get the speed. To this day, I don't know anyone else who has cleared it, never mind the bulb area where Mike V. clears it here. And this was 1999. Sick power Mike V. style.

From 1996, Powell's Mike V. promo video after he came back to Powell. Mike V. with some smooth lines here mixing the old with the new. Mike V. was a tech/pioneer way back in the late 80s early 90s but became a power skater later. Always an individual, he always had his own thing though and that's why he's my favorite. He began pushing certain tricks to the limit. Also, his style is just killer.
