The HollandBelgium Bid, the joint Belgian and Dutch bid for the 2018 or 2022 FIFA World Cup™, welcomed the FIFA inspection team from 9 August to 12 August. This team has inspected the stadiums, accommodation, infrastructure, etc.
Ambassadors Justine Henin, Paul van Himst, Jean-Marie Pfaff, Giovanni van Bronckhorst and Aron Winter and President Ruud Gullit joined the team of The HollandBelgium Bid during the inspection visit.

The HollandBelgium Bid has returned from a successful visit to Brazil. After attending the opening of the first Cruyff Court in South America, The HollandBelgium Bid All Stars played a fine tournament on Copacabana beach. The Bid's presence at global football business convention Soccerex also proved to be a huge success. Its stand enjoyed a constant stream of visitors and several football greats dropped by. The latter included Brazilian football legends Cafu and Zico, as well as Danny Jordaan, organiser of the FIFA World CupTM in South Africa and member of the FIFA inspection team. They were greeted by The Bid team, The HollandBelgium Bid All Stars and president Ruud Gullit.
