Karren Brady from The Apprentice on women at work
uploaded by RadioLynxContent at youtube.com
Women come out on top in the office battle of the sexes The battle of the sexes in the office has been exposedand women have come out on top! A study into 4,000 workers found women are the most organised, are more likely to meet their deadlines and turn up for work. On the flip side, men seem to be struggling to keep on top of things, lose documents on their messy desks and forget to call people back. The research by DYMO labelling products found that around 1 in 20 men have missed out on the promotion because their bosses felt they were so unorganised a tenth of men say admit they have no structure to their work life whatsoever! More than 40 percent of men say they miss at least one deadline a month, compared to less than a third of women. When it comes to organisation, the Organisation Wars report shows whilst 62% of women keep themselves up-to-date with a diary or to-do list, 45% of blokes rely on their memory and ditch a comprehensive filing system for a chaos of a desk! In this video Karren Brady - the new The Apprentice star - talks about the research, her role as a woman in football and what it is like working with Lord Alan Sugar. NOTE: Karren Brady is spearheading DYMOs® Practically Genius campaign which is all about creating moments of genius in the office. DYMO® labelling machines can make these moments possible by helping you feel more organised and look professional. Karren is a big believer in the notion that behind every genius there is a practical advisor and credits her agent, Gordon Poole as one of the reasons behind her success. Andy Gray Sacked By Sky Sports for Sexist Remarks About Sian Massey??
uploaded by PunkersTV at youtube.com
Video of Andy Gray has been released featuring the Sky Sports presenter making more sexist comments about Sian Massey, the female assistant referee from Saturday's Wolves against Liverpool match. The video segment was a pre-match interview conducted at Molineux. In the video (fast forward to minute 1:00), you can hear Gray being told that a female assistant referee would be in the match. Crew: "Female assistant, Andy, any good to you?" Gray: "No, I can see her from here." Gray: "(Expletives)... what do women know about the offside rule." Yet again Andy Gray proves how much of a male chauvinist he is. But, also, coincidentally Gray questions what Massey (and women) know about the offside rule even before the match kicked off. During the game, Massey made the correct decision for Liverpool's first goal when most supporters in Molineux thought it was offside obviously proving that Massey does know a lot about the offside rule. The other interesting aspect of this story (and video) is that it was released by Sky News, the news (and sister) channel of Sky Sports. I find it surprising that Sky News would release the raw footage but maybe they thought their TV ratings are of more importance than Gray's reputation?
Andy Gray & Richard Keys Making Sexist Comments On Sky Sports (Saturday 22nd January 2011)
uploaded by BenBronxNYY at youtube.com
Andy Gray and Richard Keys have been accused of "appalling and damaging" sexism afer they were caught on microphone criticising Sian Massey, 25, before Liverpool's match against Wolverhampton on Saturday. Apparently believing that their microphones were switched off, they also mocked Karren Brady, the West Ham vice chairman, who had written a newspaper column about sexism the same day. Keys: 'Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her (the female referee).' Gray: 'Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule.' Keys: 'Course they don't. I can guarantee you there will be a big one (offside call) today. Kenny (Dalglish, Liverpool's manager) will go potty. This isn't the first time, is it? Didn't we have one before?' Keys: (Referring to Karren Brady's newspaper column) 'The game's gone mad. Did you hear charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Do me a favour, love.'
Sky Sports caught in sexism row
uploaded by GlobalSailor101 at youtube.com
Sky Sports Football Presenter Richard Keys and Pundit Andy Gray have been caught in a sexism row after making comments over a female Lineswoman. The Daily Mail released audio of a conversation between Keys and Gray before coverage of the game between Wolverhampton Wanderers and Liverpool when their microphones were apparently still on. The conversation centred around Sian Massey, who was going to be lineswomen for the match. Keys: "Somebody better get down there and explain offside to her," Gray: "Can you believe that? A female linesman. Women don't know the offside rule." Keys: "Course they don't, I can guarantee you there will be a big one today. Kenny (Dalglish) will go potty. This isn't the first time, is it? Didn't we have one before? Wendy Toms?" Keys later went on to blast West Ham vice-chairman and Apprentice star Karren Brady who had written a newspaper column on sexism on Saturday. Keys said: "The game's gone mad. Did you hear charming Karren Brady this morning complaining about sexism? Do me a favour, love." Keys and Gray have since apologised. A Sky Spokesperson has said: "The comments reported are not acceptable". It is not the first gaff Key's has been caught up in. In April last year, in Arsenal's 4-1 defeat to Barcelona in the Champions League, during the Game Key's made comments about Theo Walcott... "You've been s***e, son, in your daft pink boots - absolute rubbish..." As well as that, another mic gaff in 2007 was heard for viewers on Sky Sports HD channel during highlights of Scotland's away trip to the Faroe Islands in a Euro 2008 Qualfier. On this occasion he exclaimed: "Daft little ground, silly game, f*** off." Richard Keys and Andy Gray will not present on Sky Sport's Monday Night Football tonight, due to their part in a Sexism row. Keys and Gray have both apologiesed for their microphone gaff and Sky did say that "The comments reported are not acceptable". Keys did present yesterdays Super Sunday programme, featuring Blackurn v West Brom and Andy Gray did co-commentate. However Sky bosses have stood down the pair for tonight's studio coverage of Bolton v Chelsea. Rumours are surfacing in forums and on twitter that they pair are now contemplate their future.
