Het museum Nomad Gallery brengt om de twee maanden Afrikaanse kunst naar Belgi?. Nu is het de beurt aan fotograaf Gordon Clark. Hij trok zeven maanden op met Leon Botha, die aan progeria lijdt.

De solist van de groep, Ninja (geboren als Watkin Tudor Jones), behoort al vele jaren tot de Zuid-Afrikaanse hip-hop scene. Zo was hij te zien bij acts als The Original Evergreens, Max Normal.tv en The Constructus Corporation. Ninja is bekend door zijn verschillende typetjes die hij op zich heeft genomen. In het geval van Die Antwoord is zijn persoon Ninja: een zeer agressief karakter, wat verschilt met zijn vorige incarnaties.
Die Antwoord is als groep gecreëerd in 2009, bestaande uit Ninja, Yo-Landi Vi$$er en DJ Hi-Tek. Hun debuutalbum $O$ is te beluisteren op hun officiële internetpagina. In 2009 is door de Zuid-Afrikaanse cinematograaf Rob Malpage (in samenwerking met Ninja) de video "Enter the Ninja" geschoten. Deze video werd negen maanden later een viraal fenomeen op het internet, waardoor hun officiële website miljoenen keren werd bezocht. De Zuid-Afrikaanse progeria-overlever Leon Botha, een prominent artiest uit Kaapstad, komt voor in de video van Enter the Ninja.
