A team of investigative documentarians set out to follow the making of a late night, made-for-television Mature Movie, to capture an inside look at mainstream American movie practices and sensibilities at their lowest. Along the way they unexpectedly meet Armondo Jones, Bill Williams, and their 'crew of friends;' all first time Mature Movie makers who find themselves in a desperate struggle against their employers to bring social value to The Lone Rancher, a soft-core epic period piece they've been hired to write, direct and co-produce. As the production spins out of control, the team of friends sidesteps the studios contractual demands of sex and nuance, risking their jobs, in a game of cat-and-mouse, scraping to protect the 'important' love story they believe The Lone Rancher can provide. On this most unlikely of battlefields: a Mature Movie set in Northern California, the documentarians capture firsthand footage of what happens when opposing groups with fundamental differences try to work together. It's art versus commerce, skin versus love, hope versus cynicism, Armondo and Bill versus Nameless Studios; in a struggle Armondo, Bill, and their 'crew of friends' see as vital no matter what the cost. All good things are at stake not only for themselves as creators and artists, but for any person throughout the world... including you... who may someday see The Lone Rancher.

Stepping Into the Fire is the cinematic release that reaches into the ash of the bare bones of existence and asks the question "is humanity born to die, or is humanity born to live?" The film follows the true story of three successful individuals brought together by an ancestral medicine from South America that has become legendary for its miraculous and profound effects. Ayahuasca -- as the Amazonian brew is known -- is well known for its mental, physical and energetic healing properties. Stepping Into the Fire closely examines the life-changing effects Ayahuasca can have and illustrates why environment and health are so crucial to human success on a global scale.
Stepping Into the Fire features Roberto Velez, Donna Walsh, Bo and José Pineda Varges (a.k.a Maestro Mancoluto). The story begins with Roberto Velez -- a high-level New York Stock Exchange trader -- raised since adolescence in America, but ultimately of Peruvian descent. In the peak of his career, Velez finds himself seeking; unable to reconcile his material gains with the lack of direction and depth in his life. With nowhere else to turn, Velez scours Peru -- the land of his ancestors -- only to find Mancoluto, a first-level master shaman descended from one of the earliest civilizations in Amerindian history, Chavin. Mancoluto's expertise in natural health, particularly in the case of two ancestral medicines known as Ayahuasca and Huachuma, provides him a unique lens when treating Velez's predicament. Once this connection was made, countless other pieces start falling into place and a center for ancient Peruvian healing arts is quickly born.

"Strong bodies fight, that weak bodies may be nourished." This is the motto of the Notre Dame Boxing Team, which annually hosts an intramural charity tournament called "The Bengal Bouts" to support the Holy Cross development efforts in the poverty-stricken country of Bangladesh. Founded by legendary football coach Knute Rockne in 1931 and perpetuated by 80 years of blood, sweat, and tears, the Bengal Bouts represent a sacred tradition of dedicated students lacing up their gloves in a fight much larger than the ring in which they box.
In May 2008, a group of 5 student boxers embarked on a journey across the world to witness the Bangladesh missions. What they encountered was not what they had anticipated. Where they had expected to find weakness, they found strength; where they thought they would find despair, they found great resolve. They learned that the Bangladeshi people were not helpless victims to be aided but change-agents to be empowered. From the claustrophobic slums of Dhaka city to the remote tribal villages of Bangladesh, these students witnessed a world of poverty seldom seen in films or media - a world of hope.
Now 80 years in the making, Strong Bodies Fight is the unique and inspirational story of three groups of people - the Notre Dame boxers, the Holy Cross Missionaries, and the people of Bangladesh - reaching out across the globe to join forces as one Team in the FIGHT against poverty.
