The song used in this video is called Epilogue, and it was created by the artist, Terra Ferma. The song can be found on Terra Ferma's album, The Adventures of... This video presents scenes of Uluru which is in the heart of Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. This incredible sandstone formation stands 348 meters high, which is 1,142 feet, and the rest of the rock is estimated to be penetrating five kilometers under the ground. Uluru is gigantic, and to give you a better sense, it measures 9.4 kilometers in circumference, 5.8 miles. It is so beautiful and wonderful, what a sight it truly is. Uluru has long been established as a place of immense ceremonial and cultural significance to a number of Aboriginal tribes. Archeological evidence suggests that Aboriginal people have lived in Uluru for at least 22,000 years. The local Anangu people do not climb Uluru because of its great relationship to their culture. They request that visitors not climb the rock, partly due to the path crossing a sacred traditional Dreamtime track, and also due to a sense of responsibility for the safety of visitors to their land, for it is a very treacherous climb. The A?angu know that they have a spiritual connection to Uluru, and feel immense sorrow when a person dies or is injured whilst climbing such an incredibly sacred location. Please do not climb Uluru unless you are ordered to do so. Note: Uluru is also known as Ayers Rock.

Uluru & The Olgas - On a Moody Day!
uploaded by Grant VK5GR at vimeo.com
This short film includes several time lapse sequences as well as a general introduction to the landscape around the worlds largest single sandstone monolith - Uluru (Ayers Rock) and it's partner formation, "The Olgas" (Kata Tjuta) in Central Australia. At the end of the piece is a time lapse sequence showing Uluru at sunset, an experience that sees hundreds of tourists a day from around the globe gather at the viewing area to witness. This is my first attempt at time lapse. Some of the sequences were shot hand-held and attempts have been made to use post processed image stabilisation to improve the picture. Others were shot using a tripod. Some were quite accidental - as when I was filming I didnt realise how they would look sped up with the shadows moving over the landscape. The entire set was filmed over a 36hr period during which we had everything from brilliant sunshine through to thunderstorms and waterfalls on Uluru (a rare sight in the middle of the central Australian deserts). The camera was a Panasonic GS500 shot in 16x9 format. Post processing and NLE was undertaken using Adobe Premiere CS3.
Kakadu Falls

The music featured in this video is entitled Deep Healing (synths) by Steven Halpern from his album Music for Sound Healing. The pictures seen here were obtained within the confines of Kakadu National Park in Australia's Northern Territory. These shots were captured at or near Twin Falls and Jim Jim Falls. The name 'Kakadu' comes from an Aboriginal floodplain language called Gagudju. The Aboriginal people of Kakadu have lived on the land for at least forty thousand years, and about five hundred still reside within the park. Kakadu presents a very diverse offering of both life and landscape. The six types of land-forms found in the park are, the flood-plains, the lowlands, the stone country, the outliers, the southern hills and basins, and the tidal flats (with many estuaries). There are over 280 bird species, 60 mammal species, 50 freshwater species, 10,000 insects species, and at least 1,600 plant species. Furthermore, Kakadu is home to four major river-systems. Kakadu National Park is managed by both its original Aboriginal inhabitants and the Australian Director of National Parks. You can visit http://www.kakadu.com.au to learn more.

Ayers Rock/Australien im Regen bei 45 Grad!
uploaded by eltenbroek at youtube.com

In the middle of Australia, in the red dessert the sun starts to set. We're standing at the sunset area watching the sun go down. The colours of the rock changes minute by minute as the shadows grow deeper during the beautiful sunset.
