This year was focused heavily on the 5th section, a provincial area outside of the city that houses some of the poorest people in the world. After severe flooding in 2008 and previous years, we helped get people back on their feet as well as start Homes of Hope in Haiti.
School & Church Reconstruction

In partnership with Rotary Club, St. Marc, Youth With A Mission has undertaken the construction of a new church building in the 5th Section of St. Marc Haiti. After severe flooding, the old church building was too damaged to use, and the pastor was forced to carry out school with his 95 students in the shade of mango trees. Thanks to Rotary Club and YWAM Haiti, they now have a much larger building which can withstand many floods to come!

On February, 2009 a team of 23 came down from Pennsylvania to help out in a number of projects on the Youth With A Mission, Saint Marc campus. They also went out and did a bit of evangalization, which still continues since the flood of September last year. Brandon, who at the age of twelve was in a car crash that handicapped him for the rest of his life, traveled with the team. He was prayed over by the Liberty Academy school kids in a powerful intercession lasting 1 hour. We all pray for his healing!

The national religion of Haiti is voodoo, but despite it's promises, voodoo has only brought destruction to the nation. YWAM is making considerable advances in revealing and replacing it with the one and only true God. His Kingdom come, His will be done!

Prisoners in the Saint Marc, Haiti prison are baptised by Youth With a Mission staff and a Brazilian outreach group. They also share in communion and are given Kreyol Bibles to look up scripture!
